Blanca Isabel is produced and marketed by Rush Rice Products, LLC, a family-owned company located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was developed by the late Dr. Milton C. Rush, a plant pathologist in the Department of Plant Pathology and Crop Physiology at LSU, and founder of Rush Rice Products. All rights to the Blanca Isabel variety were released by the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center to Dr. M.C. Rush following his retirement. It was Dr. Rush’s dream that Blanca Isabel’s health components would help improve people’s health and that it’s great taste would help the public eat healthier.
